You need: Booking reference, passport and iqama, and your exit re-entry visa details if you are leaving KSA.
Steps
- Go straight to your airline's counter or call the airline. Ask what your ticket allows before you buy a new one.
- Ask about the next available flight, the change fee and any fare difference. These depend on your fare rules.
- Have a return or connecting flight on the same booking? Tell the airline you still plan to travel. With some tickets, missing one flight cancels the rest of the booking.
- Missing a flight because you arrived late is not covered by the delay and cancellation compensation rules.
- If the airline caused the problem (delay, cancellation or overbooking), you have rights under GACA rules. See the guide on flight delays and cancellations.
- Leaving on an exit re-entry visa? Check its dates in Absher. An unused visa that expires while you are still in KSA costs SAR 1,000. Ask your employer, or the head of the family in Absher, about your options before it expires.
- Travel insurance or your bank card may cover missed connections. Check your policy.
Important: Check-in closes before departure. Check your airline's closing time and arrive early, especially at busy times such as Eid and school holidays.
