If you have an accident

Minor accidents are handled by Najm, not the police.

General information, not advice. This page summarises publicly available rules in plain language. It is not legal advice or a recommendation to take any action. Procedures, fees and fines change without notice and can differ by case. The official portal below is the only authoritative source.

Steps

  1. Stop, switch on hazard lights and check for injuries. Call 997 for an ambulance if anyone is hurt.
  2. Do not move the cars if someone is injured or the damage is serious. Call 911 (or 993 where 911 is not active).
  3. For minor accidents with no injuries, report through the Najm app or call Najm, and move the cars to the side.
  4. Take photos of both cars, plates and the scene.
  5. Wait for the Najm report. Your insurer uses it to decide who pays.

Important: Never drive away from an accident, even a small one.
